Description
CESSCO Fabrication & Engineering Ltd. is hiring a full-time Senior Estimating Manager in Edmonton, Alberta, to lead estimating for pressure vessels, heavy steel fabrication, ASME-related industrial projects, quotations, commercial proposals, and bid reviews.
As a full-time estimating manager, this position is responsible for leading and overseeing all estimating activities within the company. Key responsibilities include ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of estimates, quotations, and commercial proposals in accordance with customer requirements, company standards, fabrication capabilities, and strategic business objectives.
A successful candidate will provide leadership to the estimating team while working with other departments. Collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Project Management to support successful project execution and business growth is an important part of this job.
Being an industrial estimating manager is both strategic and hands-on, requiring active participation in bid development, commercial review, customer engagement, workload coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, customer specifications, industrial standards, commercial and contractual terms and conditions, and quality and safety requirements is critical. The successful candidate must also have a strong understanding of pressure vessel fabrication, welding, materials, and the industrial manufacturing process.

Furthermore, we would like to see a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing estimating teams or commercial proposal functions. Particularly we want to see people with work history as a pressure vessel estimating manager, heavy fabrication estimating manager, or industrial estimating manager.
A bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Construction Management, or any related discipline is preferred. We would also consider a CET, PMP, or related professional designation an asset.
We operate on a 40-hour work week for full-time roles, and we're offering an annual salary of $120,000 CAD for this position. It is a primarily office-based role with regular interaction with production facilities and shop operations.
