History

CESSCO Fabrication & Engineering Ltd. has maintained its reputation for producing quality work, safely and on time, since the very beginning.

After establishing CESSCO Fabrication & Engineering Ltd. in 1948, the founder left the company to his nine key employees. Due to their inexperience owning an enterprise, they eventually decided to sell the Edmonton-based business to a large American company that could better manage the scale of operations. CESSCO Fabrication & Engineering Ltd. transferred ownership again in the 1980s before being acquired by Canerector Inc., who has remained the proprietor since 1994.

While CESSCO Fabrication & Engineering Ltd. has consistently been recognized for its design integrity and quality workmanship, there have been several improvements made to the plant throughout its history. In the late 1990s, the property expanded to include the land across the road, and the two original large trailers were replaced with a new office building and two large shops. Additionally, all of the equipment and crane runways were upgraded to ensure client expectations could continue to be met and exceeded for years to come. Today the facility is complete with three large fabrication shops, a preparation and components shop, a machine shop, two specialty fabrication shops, three heat treating furnaces, a paint tent, and single lift capacity of up to 210 tons.
